My basic aim is to understand the fundamentals of human existence and the answer to the question:
Who Am I?

My vision is to ignite the inner light of people to help them awaken to their magnificence and power through individual sessions and through workshops.

My role as a facilitator of healing is to provide experience and education in self-awareness and personal growth so people can directly experience the power of universal principles of life.

My core philosophy is that the true healing of illness, dis-ease, and imbalance in life requires a holistic approach. As a holistic healer, I realize that any healing must consider our whole being and thus I work at the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels at the same time, in order to change a client’s total state of being.

Many different kinds of people come to see me, for many different reasons; but all come because they want healing, a change in the state of their being. Something isn’t working, something isn’t right. Maybe they suffer from physical pain anxiety, depression, or panic attacks. Maybe they are seeking more meaning in their life, looking for work that is fulfilling. Perhaps they have relationship problems, or, like I used to have, maybe they have physical pain or some disease.

I use a variety of modalities to assess all of the related causes of illness or imbalance. I then work to trigger the body’s innate wisdom and capacity for self-healing.

I have spent ten years in intensive study and training with some of the leading holistic teachers in Australia and overseas. I have received certifications in a number of cutting edge technologies and healing modalities, including Kinesiology, computerized organ screening, Mastery, in Theta, Krhem-Sekhem, Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming & Clinical Hypnotherapy.

The Story of Ida Lyall

I was born in Serbia, the former Yugoslavia, of Hungarian parents. It was a wonderful life, full of diversity. After the Second World War, people from many regions came to live to the northern part of Serbia, called the breadbasket of the country.

There were people from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Kosovo, Hungary, Slovakia a melting pot of cultures, religions and customs. As children we all played together. We were all playmates and friends, and we didn’t let our differences block our affection for each other.

Growing up in this community of diverse cultures is where I learned that we really are all one, a philosophy which years later became the foundation of my holistic healing practise.

After high school I began to think about what to do. I went into engineering, because that was what was available to me. At the same time I fell ill with tonsillitis, which stayed with me for five years. Finally, I went to a hospital to have them removed. At the hospital, my fate brought me to a doctor. He was my first spiritual and philosophical mentor, who introduced me to questions about the meaning of life and death, and the greater mysteries of illness and healing. These questions would later come back into my life some 30 years later, when I was ready to investigate holistic healing.

After WWII, my aunt came to Australia. She invited me to move here, which I did because I wanted to see the world with my own eyes. I came to Australia with only $20 and 50 words of English! It wasn’t much of a start, but it was enough for me — and it taught me about persistence, courage, and hard work. Within three months of my arrival, my aunt died. Still, I persevered, and soon got a job in an engineering company, where I worked for 27 years. This is where I met my husband, with whom I was married for 20 years.

Shortly, after my arrival to Australia in early 1970, I met another doctor by the name of Dr. Ainsley Meares, a psychiatris, who became my first meditation teacher. From that time I practiced meditation regularly. He was also working with cancer patients at the time, and he noticed the effect of meditation on cancer. Looking back, this was the second seed in the journey towards holistic healing.

During the next 20 years, I experienced poor health, digestive problems, chronic lower back pain, migraines, and muscle ache. I went to all the available medical resources at the time, but no one could figure out what was wrong.

By 1990, the pain was becoming unbearable and I had to do something. I was led to a naturopath who worked on the detoxification of my body; a chiropractor who specialized in cranio-sacral adjustments adjusted my spine; and a dentist who gave me a splint to wear. I finally experienced physical relief.

And then, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. My own healing was put on the back burner. I focused on helping my husband. Even though he was a very conservative man who only wanted traditional care, I looked further into what we now call holistic modalities. I heard of Dr. Ian Gawler. Ian recovered from cancer 20 years earlier.

I watched my husband’s PSA count, which is the protein level measured in the bloodstream, during his cancer fluctuate wildly according to his stress level.
At the time when the cancer was diagnosed the protein count in the blood was 33. A healthy body has a reading between 0-5. We introduced a diet change; meditation, chiropractic, detoxification and emotional work, and the protein reading went down to 0.

He was working part time at that time maintaining computers for a consulting firm. One morning when he arrived at the office, all the computers went missing, about 25 of them. The office was robbed overnight of all the electronic equipment.

In order to reestablish the workflow in the office, he went back full time for a month. I could see the stresses and tension building up in him during that time. The next blood test indicated an elevated protein reading of 8.

Shortly after that we went on a holiday for rest and recuperation. We had a fantastic time away from everyday business of life. Following the holiday the blood test result was encouraging, the protein reading was 4, 50% less than the previous result.

The next six months the continuous focus on holistic healing the body mind and spirit resulted in the secondary cancers on the lung and lymph node to disappear.

After this experience, it was clear to me that a holistic approach is the only way to affect true healing.

I also realized the importance of the person's "state of mind.” There is stress or peace and calm. There is positive and optimistic outlook; there is a negative and pessimistic outlook. Our state of mind is the key to our state of health.

At this time I met a third doctor, who told me, “There can be no true healing without an internal shift in attitude and belief.” His words struck me in my core, and in a flash I realized that I had to find out what this statement meant and to learn how to change attitudes and beliefs.

This subject became my passion, and as a result of that passion, I have become a holistic healer.
